Sticky drumsticks


  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2c honey
  • 1/4c red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbs wholegrain mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbs paprika
  • 1 tbs fresh oregano
  • 1 tbs sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4c slivered almonds
  • 2 bunches broccolini
  • 1 tbs thick soya sauce


  1. Cut slashes into the drumstick. Combine honey, vinegar, mustard, garlic, paprika, oregano, sesame seeds in bowl. Toss in chicken. Place in fridge to marinate for 4 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 200C. Place chicken in oven and cook for 45 minutes.
  3. Toast almonds and remove. Add broccolini and cook for 2 minutes, add soya sauce, cook for another 1 minute.
  4. Serve with rice.
