Fruity bran loaf

This is delicious served warm with butter, cream cheese or ricotta.


  • 1/2 cup bran cereal
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup wholemeal self raising flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 cup chopped dried fruit
  • 1 cup milk


  1. Preheat oven to 180C and grease and line a loaf pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and pour into prepared tin. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
