Simple roast fennel pasta Dine in

This is one of my favourite recipes to make when I’m feeling lazy or I’m cooking for one. Apart from chopping a few bits, the oven does all the hard work for you! Once roasted, the strong aniseed flavour mellows and caramelises into a sweet, soft partner to the pasta, jazzed up with a bit of chilli, garlic and lemon. I had a handful of lonely spinach leaves which I added this time around, use this recipe as a base to add or remove bits as your fridge allows. Let me know where this recipe takes you. Sambal roasted salmon parcels Dine in

The perils of shopping online. Most of the time I don’t mind giving control to my “personal shopper” and I’m happy to get what I’m given instead of wrestling wonky shopping trolleys in the supermarket with a scowl on my face. Spiced apple cake with caramel drizzle Dine in

I’m back! Sorry for the delay. Lately, cooking for me has been of necessity and not so much pleasure but I will get back into the swing of things soon, I promise. I have made these recipes a couple of times now and I recommend you find an occasion to serve it yourself. Soon! I make both the lamb and potatoes the night before so on the day of the dinner I just need to remove them from the fridge and then put them in the oven. So easy! So good! Served with a greek salad or greens and you have a super delicious dinner… so good there probably won’t be leftovers. Greek lamb Ingredients 1...

A weekend in Melbourne Travel

We serendipitously both needed to be in Melbourne for work at the same time so we planned a weekend away to make the most of our time in the city.  We were “adults” in Brisbane for quite a few years before we ventured south to Melbourne and since then we have been many times. The city itself is easy to navigate by foot or by tram and the architecture, laneways and boutique shops make it easy to whittle hours away. Melbourne is synonymous with food and wine and we obviously did both while we were there! Friday night we dined...
